“Beekeeping products-honey festival” was held in Nakhchivan

The Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic signed an order on November 18, 2016 to approve “The State Program on the development of beekeeping in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in 2017-2022”.

In accordance with the State Program on November 11, the “Beekeeping products-honey festival” was held at “Nakhchivangala” Historical and Architectural Museum Complex.

The announcers of the event dealt with the folklore samples created by our people for centuries on beekeeping and proverbs. Dean of the Medical Faculty of Nakhchivan State University, PhD in biology Elsevar Asadov spoke about the history of development of beekeeping, which occupies one of the main places in the economic and household life of the autonomous republic, saying that rich nature has created favorable conditions for beekeeping, and told about the biological characteristics of Nakhchivan honey.

The Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov attended the festival and got acquainted with the exhibition-fair of Nakhchivan honey.

The concert program “Nagshijahan voice” organized at International Mugham Center caused great applauses.

Nakhchivan performers Zulfugar Mahmudov, Narmin Huseynova, Abulfaz Mammadli, Ilkin Abdullayev and Tural Najafov performed different performances at Mugham Concert.

Performances of children soloists of the Nakhchivan State Children’s Philharmony Tayyar Madatli, Rana Mehralieva, Ali Mehraliev, Hasan Babazadeh, Alakbar Sadigov caused great applauses. “Garabagh Shikastasi” (mode), “First love”, “Sari galin” (yellow bride), “Gul achdi” (blossoming), “Shushanin daghlari” (Shusha’s mountains), “Ovshari rhytmic” mugham, “Alagoz” (grey-eyed), “Shahnaz” mugham, “Heyrati rhytmic” mugham, “Nakhchivan song”, “Rast tasnifs” performed by Honored artist of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Ehtiram Huseynov, khanandas (singers) Serkhan Bunyadzadeh, Atakhan Guliyev added diversity to the concert program.

On November 17, 2009, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev signed an Order to celebrate November 9 as the Day of the National Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan every year. Thus, every year November 9 is celebrated by our people solemnly.

Various events are held everywhere in our country on this remarkable day.

An event titled “The 9^th of November is the Day of the National Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan” was organized by the Scientific Methodological Center on Culture and Julfa Region Culture and Tourism Department.

The head of the Culture and Tourism Department of Julfa Region Parvin Hasanov noted that the flag, one of the most sacred symbols, is the main indication of the existence of the nation, the ability to build and gain an independent state. Thus, the flag, which is the symbol of self-authentication, is regarded as a proud and trusting point all over the world. Flag is also the most realistic expression of the identity of the state and people, the movement of freedom, mentality and thinking. From this point of view, our national flag, which praises the freedom, sovereignty of our people, its struggle for independence is our national pride.

On November 8, an interactive lesson was organized between the autonomous republic’s secondary schools and the State Flag Museum.

In the open lesson, the museum’s guide Ayshan Mehdiyeva noted that state symbols are symbols of recognition, sovereignty, identity of any state. These symbols reflect centuries-old history, national values and traditions of each state, people. The flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan occupies a special place in the state symbols reflecting the independence and glorious past of the contemporary Azerbaijani state with ancient statehood history and traditions.

On November 8, Ordubad Region Culture House hosted the event titled “Nakhchivan is a land of monuments” for the youth under the subordination of the Culture and Tourism Department of Ordubad Region.

At the event, Kenan Taghizadeh, advisor on the creative youth of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic made a speech on the topic “National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Youth Policy” and said that a reliable basis for the development of Azerbaijani youth was created in the 70s of the XX century. As a result of efforts of national leader Heydar Aliyev, consistent and purposeful measures have been taken to meet the living, educational and cultural needs of the youth. It is enough to mention that every year hundreds of young people were sent to study at the leading universities of the USSR and returned as highly qualified specialists and contributed to the country’s development. At that time, the necessary infrastructure was created in each settlement to ensure the effective organization of leisure time of young people, and the necessary material and technical basis was created to ensure their comprehensive development. At the same time, various measures were undertaken to stimulate youth activism in public-political life.
