Nakhchivan State History Museum was presented 156 exhibits

Naxçıvan Dövlət Tarix Muzeyinə daha 156 eksponat təqdim edilib On November 8, Honored culture worker of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Akif Hajiyev, inhabitant of Gilanchay village of Ordubad region Khayal Fataliyev, inhabitant of Nakhchivan city Sadi Mammadov, inhabitant of Babek region Inayat Fatullayev, inhabitant of Shahbuz city Shahin Orujov, inhabitant of Arazin village of Julfa region Mahmud Zeynalov presented 156 exhibits to Nakhchivan State Historical Museum, including copper and pottery household items, agricultural tools, weaving tools and so on, reflecting our ancient culture and history.

Speaking at the event held on this occasion, the minister of culture and tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Natavan Gadimova stated that the ancient Nakhchivan city, which has 5 millennia history, reflects ancient, antique and medieval urban culture, was the capital of the Atabeylar state, the Nakhchivan khanate in various periods of history, is rich with its historical and cultural monuments. Hundreds of clay pots, painted containers, bronze statues, items and decorations found during archaeological expeditions show the existence of different cultures in this land at one time. The grave of Noah Prophet, famous rock paintings in Gamigaya territory allow Nakhchivan to be regarded as one of the most important centers of human civilization. There are 29 museums and one museum-type institution in the autonomous republic and they preserve nearly 140 thousand material-cultural samples reflecting the history of our people, life style and traditions. Until the years of independence, there were 13 museums in the autonomous republic, and after the independence, 16 museums were created that reflect the history of Nakhchivan and the creativity of the outstanding personalities. It was stressed that the number of visitors to our museums has increased dramatically and the museum workers have great responsibility. According to the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic “On strengthening the relations with museums” dated December 19, 2014, the collectives of ministries, committees and organizations of the autonomous republic visit our museums in organized form. In addition, the visit of students, young people, students, taxi drivers to museums has been provided.

A literary-musical night dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Tofig Guliyev was held

A literary-musical night dedicated to the 100th anniversary of composer Tofig Guliyev was held at Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Library named after Mammad Said Ordubadi on November 7.

The event was opened by director of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Library named after Mammad Said Ordubadi, PhD in History Aytekin Gahramanova. In the literary part, Naila Asadova, head of music-note department made a speech on the topic “Magnificent composer Tofig Guliyev”, and head of the mass work department Yegana Rustamova on the topic “A heart full of songs”.

It was mentioned that one of the creators of Azerbaijan’s pop music Tofig Guliyev wrote glorious pages in the history of the centuries-old national culture, having unique original style as a composer. His diverse genres, which enrich the treasure of our people’s cultural treasures and today’s repertoire of various generations, impress people on national-moral values and aesthetic and artistic pleasure. Many people like to listen to the songs of great composer, people’s artist Tofig Guliyev when they are tired or in sad moments. These songs are as native as mothers’ lullaby.

“Increasing the socio-cultural role of museums in a modern society makes them an active participant in cultural processes. In modern time, a museum is a cultural center to preserve memories of past, to protect the cultural heritage. Present-day socioeconomic development sets new tasks for museums. One of these tasks is to improve the professionalism of museum guides”.

These ideas were sounded at the seminar-training for museum guides at Nakhchivan State Art Gallery organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on November 7.

Speaking about the aim and importance of the event Gumral Mamiyeva, the collaborator of the museum on cultural heritage and museum affairs made a speech on the topic “The behavior rules of the museum guides” and stated that museums of different profiles are operating in the autonomous republic. The museums are given special attention today, their material-technical base is strengthened, the level of professionalism of the employees is increased. After the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic “On strengthening relations with museums” dated December 19, 2014, there is significant increase in the number of museums’ visitors. This, in turn, requires more active and more responsive work of museum staff, museum guides, and fluent and understandable speech skills in presentation of exhibits.

Alaklı village of Sharur region has become a modern residential area

Creating a modern infrastructure in the villages of the autonomous republic and putting into operation new social facilities is another sign shown for human values. The constructive work serves to the effective management of villages, the comprehensive education of the younger generation, the increase of the population, and the comfort and well-being of the residents. Sharur district, the largest settlement in the autonomous republic, has also been a part of this development and progress. Complex construction work has been carried out in the villages of the region in recent years.

The Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening.

The head of Executive Power of Sharur Region Kamal Jafarov stated that as well as other settlements in the autonomous republic, Sharur region has also grown to a new stage of development. The renovation of villages, expansion of individual farms and opening of new workplaces have resulted in the increase of people’s well-being and population growth. Three school buildings, three village centers, three service centers, the Central Hospital of the district were built or reconstructed in Sharur district during the previous year. Currently, the construction of secondary school in Arabyengija, an outpatient clinic, a village and a service center, restoration of the bathhouse of the XVIII century in Yengija, reconstruction of the 60-apartment residential building in Sharur, as well as the fresh water and sewerage lines of the city of Sharur are underway.

Documentary film “The everlasting mission” was demonstrated in Sharur

On November 3, within the framework of the Days of Azerbaijani Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Nakhchivan State Film Fund demonstrated the documentary film “The everlasting mission”, which was supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the Culture House of Aralig village of Sharur district.

Before the film, director of Nakhchivan State Film Fund Mirakif Seyidov said that according to the Action Plan of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Day of Azerbaijani Cinema is held every Friday. Fiction and documentary films about the history, the present day of our people are demonstrated during these cinema days. The film “The everlasting mission”, which will be shown today, is one of our newest documentary films dedicated to the history of the People’s Republic of Azerbaijan.

It was noted that the creators of the film dealt with the life of the selfless people, who are confronting all difficulties for the republic, based on historical facts.
