The books that necessary to read were discussed

The fulfillment of tasks arising from the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated August 28, 2017 “On books that are necessary to read”, which serves the formation of patriotism, commitment to national roots, history and outlook in the younger generation, is in the center of attention of the educational and cultural institutions of the autonomous republic.

For this purpose, the Nakhchivan City Education Department together with the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Children’s Library named after Adil Babayev has drawn up a schedule for events to be held at secondary schools. According to the schedule, the second and fourth week of each month is scheduled for holding general meetings in public schools, discussions on these books on Fridays.

The first event was held at the Nakhchivan city secondary school No1. At the event, the employee of the library Samira Aliyeva talked about the importance of the Decree. It was noted that reading plays an important role in enriching the inner world, forming the world outlook, developing the ability to speak, as well as the creation of positive human and intellectual qualities. The signing of this state document will have a significant impact on the interest of young people in reading and forming their artistic taste.

Furio de Angelis got acquainted with ancient historical monuments and cultural establishments of Nakhchivan city

Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Furio de Angelis paid a visit to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and he participated in a regional training on “Improving the mechanism on applications related to asylum” held in Nakhchivan Business Center. In the frame of his visit he got acquainted with ancient historical monuments and cultural establishments of Nakhchivan city.

At first, the guest visited “Nakhchivangala” Historical-Architectural Museum Complex. Here he was informed that the museum in the complex exhibits the household pitcher of the V millenium BC., different household tools of the V-III milleniums BC., ceramic products of the Late Bronze and Early Iron Age, copper tools, gravestone monuments, weapons, armors. “Nakhchivangala” has become a center where cultural-mass events are held in the autonomous republic.

The tomb of Prophet Noah, located near the complex, also tells the ancient history of this land.

About 9,600 visitors visited the Museum of Heydar Aliyev in 9 months of the current year

The Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of  Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic  dated December 19, 2014 “On strengthening of relations with the museums” plays a big role in providing collective moves to museums operating in the autonomous republic. Such visits to museums have opened wide opportunities for the audience to explore the history and culture of the ancient Oghuz land, the life and activities of the outstanding personalities of this land. The museum of Heydar Aliyev in Nakhchivan is the most visited cultural institution in the autonomous republic.

9596 people have visited the Museum of Heydar Aliyev in the last 9 months of the current year. 7089 of them were native, 2507 were from foreign countries. At the same time, the school-museum network, created with the educational institutions of the autonomous republic, plays a great role in getting acquainted with this cultural institution. Thus, in accordance with the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated 20 June 2014 “On additional measures for the organization of electronic education in the educational institutions of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic”, from February 1 to September 30, the Museum of Heydar Aliyev hosted 31 open lessons for students of secondary schools and 38 hours for students of secondary special schools. The lecturers gave detailed information to the audience about the national leader Heydar Aliyev’s efforts to preserve the state independence of Azerbaijan, to ensure its further development, and to promote the state in the world.

An open lesson at the House Museum of Husein Javid

On October 12, according to the work plan of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the open lesson for the students of Nakhchivan State University on the study of museum studies, archives and monuments was held at Husein Javid’s House Museum and Memorial Complex.

Gumral Mamiyeva, chief advisor on cultural heritage and museum affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, spoke about the purpose and importance of the open lesson, emphasized that open lessons and other measures would be continued to educate the students as qualified cadres of the future.

Then, director of the museum, honored culture worker of  Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Bahruz Akhundov spoke on the topic “24 October is Husein Javid poetry day” and gave detailed information about the life and creativity of the great playwright, the powerful writer Husein Javid.

Seminar-training at Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Literature Museum named after Jalil Mammadguluzadeh

Seminar-training for museum guides was held atNakhchivan Autonomous Republic Literature Museum named after Jalil Mammadguluzadeh.

At the seminar-training held by the organization of Culture and Tourism Ministry the collaborator of the ministry Gumral Mamiyeva delivered a speech on the topic “Behavior rules of museum guides” and she mentioned that since last year, the seminars held in museums are important for the museum staff to follow the working principles and their rules of conduct. The main purpose of the seminar-trainings for museum guides is to increase theoretical and practical knowledge of the guides on the organization of excursion work in museums. In the seminar-training, museum guides are thoroughly familiar with the functions of their mission, as well as learn more about the museum’s work. At the same time, these events are also important in terms of creating conditions for museum staff to get acquainted with museums located in all parts of our ancient land.
