Meeting with the children from Adjara treated in Duzdag

On October 5, in “Duzdagh” hotel, a meeting was held with the children from Adjara treated in Duzdagh Physiotherapy Center.

The head of Nakhchivan City Executive Power Vugar Safarov greeted the children on behalf of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. He noted that relations between Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan and Adjara Autonomous Republic of Georgia are developing, as a result of cooperation in the economic and humanitarian spheres, the children from Adjara were treated at Duzdag Physiotherapy Center. It is noted that it is very pleasant to restore the health of citizens of friendly countries, especially children, who enjoy the services of tourism and health facilities in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

The minister of culture and tourism of the autonomous republic Natavan Gadimova made a speech at the event and she mentioned that Nakhchivan State Children’s Theatre established on the basis of the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated October 4, 2006, more than 10 years enriches and develops the outlook of little theatre lovers. At the same time, the theatre has become an art center giving detailed information about different types of art.

Director of the Nakhchivan State Children’s Theatre, Honored artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Tofig Seyidov announced that the theatre opens its new season with the performance to be shown at the event and he congratulated theatre lovers on this occasion. He spoke in detail about the theater’s creative way and repertoire.

Head of the apparatus of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Gulbuta Babayeva opened the event holding at Nakhchivan Tourism Information Center. She mentioned that in the autonomous republic, significant work has been done to study and promote the culture of culinary, which is one of the oldest branches of folklore. The “Nakhchivan Cuisine” Culinary Center created by the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic dated April 9, 2009, is one of the first centers in the country to promote this field.

It was emphasized that such measures are being carried out regularly to introduce our national kitchen samples which are going to be forgotten to the future generations concerning to our ancient culture. “Nakhchivan cuisine” book, published in Azerbaijani and English in 2012, with the attention and care of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis is a rare source of study and promote the ancient and rich history of culinary culture of our region.

The rapid social-economical progress achieved in recent years has opened new opportunities for the comprehensive development of this area. The study and expansion of tourism resources, the organization of necessary services for the needs of tourists and their adaptation to modern standards, increasing the number of hotels and other tourism facilities, and continuing measures to increase the number of tourist routes have their real results. The main objective is to achieve turning tourism into a sustainable, effective and competitive field in the autonomous republic. As a result of measures taken in this direction, more than 243 thousand tourists came to the autonomous republic within 8 months of this year.

The use of internet campaign and social networking resources is crucial for demonstrating and propagating the natural beauty, marvelous nature, tourism opportunities of the autonomous republic.

Folk day in Shahbuz
