Another seminar-training at Nakhchivan State History Museum

On February 21, Nakhchivan State History Museum hosted a seminar-training for museum guides organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Speaking the importance of the event, Gumral Asadova, the head adviser of the ministry on cultural heritage and museum work, made a speech on "The behavior rules of a museum guide" and mentioned that museums of different profiles are operating in the autonomous republic. The museums are paid special attention, their financial-technical base is strengthened, the professional level of the staff is developed. After the Decree of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic "On strengthening relations with the museums" dated December 19, 2014, there has been a significant increase in the number of museum visitors. This, in turn, requires responsible and active work of museum staff, guides, as well as it is necessary to develop intelligible and fluent speech skills in the presentation of exhibits.

On February 21, at Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Literature Museum named after Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, the event on the topic "Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, the great master of small stories" dedicated to the 149th anniversary of prominent writer, playwright and publicist Jalil Mammadguluzadeh was held.

Opening the event holding with the participation of museum employees in the autonomous republic and students of Nakhchivan State University, the director of the museum Alamzar Ibrahimova noted that Nakhchivan city has been declared the capital of Islamic culture for 2018. She then spoke extensively on the life and work of great writer Jalil Mammadguluzadeh, his services in Azerbaijani literature and press.

Then, Honored scientist, doctor on philology Huseyin Hashimli made a speech on "The great master of Azerbaijani literature" and spoke about the main directions of Mirza Jalil's creativity.

Children’s Library marked “International Mother Language Day” with student readers

On February 21, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Children’s Library named after Adil Babayev held a reader conference on the topic “Our language is our national identity” on the occasion of “International Mother Language Day” at the secondary school named after Heydar Aliyev.

Opening the event, the head of methodology department of the library Mehriban Seyidova spoke about the tremendous activity of national leader Heydar Aliyev in the establishment of "International Mother Language Day", the occurrence of various persecutions and bans on our language from time to time and elimination of all the persecution in this direction.

Then Then, Nushaba Seyidova, Head of the Bookkeeping Department, made a report on "Our language is our national identity" and recommended schoolchildren to love their mother tongue and to fight for its preservation.

Today there are three museums related to Jalil Mammadguluzade in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. One of these museums is located in the Nakhchivan city, where Jalil Mammadguluzadeh was born, while the other two were in Nehram village of Babek region and Jalilkand of Sharur region. Moreover, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Literature Museum is named after this great writer. All of these are due to the state care and national love for Mirza Jalil's art.

Recently we visited the Mirza Jalil Memorial Museum in Jalilkand, Sharur. Jalil Mammadguluzade was a pedagogical worker at the elementary school in this village, from October 13, 1887 to January 13, 1890 after graduating from Gori Teachers' Seminary. We learned that the Mirza Jalil Memorial Museum Museum was founded in 1987 as a branch of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Literature Museum and has been operating as an independent cultural institution since 2013. In 2015 the museum building was completely reconstructed.

An event related to International Mother Language Day

On February 21, the event dedicated to International Mother Language Day was held at Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Library named after Mammad Said Ordubadi.

Speaking at the event the minister of culture and tourism of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Natavan Gadimova stated that the national leader Heydar Aliyev implemented a great deal of work for the comprehensive development of our language, getting its status as official state language, to enter international relations system, world diplomacy, and attached great importance to language policy. The Azerbaijani language was largely the object of scientific research in both periods of the National Leader's rule. Numerous scientific and theoretical works on the problems of modern Azerbaijani language were created.

The President of the country Mr.Ilham Aliyev who successfully continues the political course of the national leader, has created comprehensive opportunities for the promotion of our language. In many developed countries there are schools which educate students in the Azerbaijani language. These schools have been provided with textbooks, methodological and artistic literature in our native language. Nowadays, our language is heard every day, at every moment, with a magnificent, proud voice from world-famous chairs, international events, theater stages, concert halls, scientific establishments, sports palaces and military units.
